How to empower women’s groups, self-help groups and women Panchayat members for making services more responsive to local needs with better planning, implementation and monitoring?

• All villages should be formed into small groups. There should be quarterly meetings for all women and children. Experts should have dialogue with the gathering to establish rapport and to disseminate/gather information on critical issues like personal hygiene, conservation of water, preservation of bio-diversity etc. There should be free meal during this meeting. Local NGOs should be involved in this Endeavour. They are aware of the ground realities and can act as go-betweens.
• Industry should be encouraged to adopt such village groups to render financial/technical support.

what ever the programmes are schemes are planed for rural women they are not reaching them completely. at least half of the budget the mediating officers or the pancathayathi presidents are eating or the amount is being corrupted.
