Better Preventive and Curative Health Care

India's health indicators are not improving as fast as other socio-economic indicators. Good healthcare is perceived to be either unavailable or unaffordable. How can we improve healthcare conditions, both curative and preventive, especially relating to women and children?

sex ratio in the 0-6 years group has been spiralling since the past few years. It has been 15 years since the Prenatal diagnostic technique act came into force. The act didnt bring any significant changes. without infrastructure and human resource backup the act is like eagle which has no eyes and claws and ended up in almost zero conviction rate. so according to me addressing this problem requires a holistic approach
1.most important step is to remove the dissent towards girl child in the people. this is possible only throuth the allround development of the woman albeit mainly in the economic aspect since it is this aspect where the girl child scores less than their male counterparts. this idea may be eloborative but this is the only possible way since the parents have innumerable ways of finding out the sex of the child.
2.a strict legislative measure is nevertheless important and has to act in tandem with idea 1 by reducing those innumerable ways and convicting those who indulge in these

To do this we need to:
1. Remove all existing social stigmas attached to a girl child.
2. Introduce schemes similar to SABLA so that parents of low income group need not worry about how to bring up their girl child.
3. Education and publicity about the abilities of a girl vis-a-vis a boy.
4. Girls are more resistant to corruption than boys, generally. They are more sensitive to social issues. They are home maker. Besides they don't indulge in drugs, cigarettes, drinks. All these are superiority of Indian culture.
