How do we make our cities more liveable? What can we do today to ensure that smaller cities and towns are not similarly overwhelmed tomorrow?

One cannot control or predict Natural disasters. What we can do is to prepare ourselves or in other words hedge against the disasters to whatever extent we can. In order to achieve this Planning is the most important pillar. Find out the ways or areas which make us vulnerable towards these disasters. The city should be planned in such a way that in future the relief works could be easily provided. Access to hospitals and proper disaster management team in each district should be active 24 Hours. Pro Active approach towards the preparedness for the disasters can only help in minimising the Vulnerability towards the disasters.
