Decentralisation, Empowerment and Information

Greater and more informed participation of all citizens in decision-making, enforcing accountability, exercising their rights and entitlements; and determining the course of their lives is central to faster growth, inclusion, and sustainability. How can we best promote the capabilities of all Indians, especially the most disadvantaged, to achieve this end?

The only thing, the victims of sexual assault want, is-
Acceptance by the society.
They don't want themselves to be looked down upon as somebody of very low status. For this, most importantly the society should step forward. But, only if the government will help the society overcome their sick mentality and take initiative to provide emotional support to the victims, things in the society might change....
Government should make sex education, a topic to be accepted more freely at adolescent/teenage level...
So, the most important thing for the gov. To do, is to make the society aware and educated toward sexual assaut, sexual life etc. The gov. Should make these things (i.e. Sex Education) easily acceptable to itself, then the society will take initiative to bring on the changes in itself and then things might change...

Whatever the government will do, will become a source of inspiration and a fashion/trend for the youth....
And as we all know, the youth are the real masters of India....! :-)

Child Labour is growing these days. With advent of globalization there is very little scope for weak markets to make projected profits. Bigger one will simply enter where they want to be resulting in an unbalance in capabilities that will affect the weaker market(Bangles, Traditional Cloths, Utensils etc.). On the other hand the only option is the "Cheap Child Labour". I feel that its difficult to put a check mark on it by simply passing the laws. Instead NGOs / SHGs / Gram Sabha / Gram Panchayats and other local bodies need to be given the empowerment and support for its possible violation. They should be empowered to seek justification from Court of Law and explanation from Chief Ministers. If, CM or local judiciary does not act, they can raise voice to supreme court with all expenses to be the states liability. Even if any individual of civil society feel the violation , they can raise their voice in a plain paper (undisclosed) along with support evidence to the court of law with one copy to ministry of Labour.
