Yes, I agree with it. Reforms are needed in this area, so that farmers get the fair price for their produce. The institutionalization of the sector can be brought with the concurrent efforts of Central and State Governments. However, if the proposal does not get through then the disparity between states will grow. Some states will benefit and some will linger.

For an across the border reforms, assistence of central governemnt can prove turning stone.

Agricultural produce marketing require a new approach to make farming a viable profession. At present, farming is considered as the last resort to earn a living rather a profession they sought after. From my studies, farmers choose to switch to any other profession given an alternative rather being a farmer. Providing a better way to market their produce and earn a decent living thru farming may reverse that trend and we will have enough food to support our growing population
